Compliance Officer    

Quality Health Care (QHC) is a leading provider of disability, home and community care and accommodation support services throughout Sydney to people living with disability.


We are seeking a proactive, engaging and highly organised Compliance Officer to join an experienced and highly skilled team.


The successful applicant will be positive, engaging and experienced in working with people with a mental health and disability profile. You will be part of a team that is responsible for providing high quality support that builds capacity and skills towards independence.

Aims and Goals 

This is a new role to ensure compliance requirements are met and to support strong governance tools and practices. This role will ensure that QHC’s systems support reliable Risk, Quality and Compliance management to enable Quality Health Care to meet its organisational, legislative, and contractual requirements and ensure service delivery is aligned to best practice standards.​


  • Maintain QHC’s Quality Management System and ensure it meets the scope and complexity of the business as well as complies with the NDIS Quality Framework.

  • Develop and maintain a review schedule that updates QHC’s existing policies and procedures and develops new ones as required.

  • In collaboration with the CEO coordinate QHC’s Risk Management

  • Framework that includes Risk Management; Incident Management; Complaints Management; Work Health and Safety and Operational Performance.

  • In collaboration with the CEO and Finance Manager develop a set of reports for the Senior Management Team that cover Quality and Risk and demonstrate continuous improvement.

  • Coordinate QHC’s Workers Compensation Program including policy development, education on process and reporting and liaison with Insurer.

  • Work with the HR Manager to review training compliance across the organsiation using the third-party platform iinduct reporting scheme.

  • Coordinate QHC’s Work Health and Safety Committee and Program to ensure that frontline staff and sites are consulted, hazards are identified and actioned and incident and injury data is available to show trends and mitigation strategies.

  • Work with the Quality Project Coordinator and the Funding

  • Administrator to ensure NDIS Compliance and QHC’s Complaints process are complete, effective and inform QHC around continuous improvement projects.

  • Generate WHS toolbox talks for the organisation in line with WHS trends and current practices.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Experience in quality management systems including the development of policies and procedures

  • A strong focus on empowering others to understand compliance and governance requirements

  • Highly developed organisation and time management skills, with exceptional attention to detail

  • Well-developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills including evidence of clear and concise writing for a variety of audiences

  • Good technical knowledge with demonstrated experience of using IT systems effectively

  • Experience in preparing reports for Senior Management and understanding what data and information they require to make key decisions

  • Experience monitoring systems and supporting organisational compliance with controls

  • Demonstrated track record of developing and implementing policies and procedures within the NDIS sector in areas such as Quality, Compliance,

  • Incident Reporting, Audits, and Complaints

  • An ability to maintain accurate, professionally appropriate, and current records and written reports
