Support Worker - Blue Mountains

Are you a friendly community support worker (Male or Female) studying nursing or another allied health discipline and in need of some additional work in the Blue Mountains?

Quality Health Care is looking for a full time/part time disability support worker to assist a lady in her 60’s living with Mental health in the Blue Mountains area to maintain independence with her community. Successful employees will support our client with domestic assistance, meal planning, budgeting, support at appointments and personal care.

The successful applicants will provide assistance on the basis of individual needs in a person-centred manner that respects our client's privacy and dignity.

Essential Criteria:

Must be available to both day and night-time shifts

• Reliable and punctual

• A person-centred mindset

• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to provide assistance with all aspects of personal care and daily living tasks

• Understanding of the issues affecting people needing assistance who live with a disability

• Driver’s License and car with current comprehensive insurance

• A bright disposition and a passion for caring

• Must be available to work overnight shifts
