Goals

  • To facilitate people to live life well.

  • Support the reduction of behaviours of concern for people with disabilities whilst improving their quality of life.

  • Maintain, grow, and sustain Behaviour Support Services through providing high quality products to participants and their stakeholders, engaging in positive relationships with participants and stakeholders whilst embodying QHC values and culture, and contributing to the success of the service through working towards the strategic directions of the organisation.


Responsibilities

  • Work within QHC Policies and Procedures at all times.

  • Encourage safe environments for all, including participants and their stakeholders.

  • Facilitate Behaviour Support Services such as Behaviour Support Plans including conducting assessments, developing documentation, endorsing products, training on recommendations, and implementing strategies

  • Demonstrate knowledge, understanding, and skills regarding the governance, policies and procedures, approaches, and evidence base, for services provided by QHC.

  • Contribute to the proficiency of QHC workforce.

  • Share responsibility for the success of the Behaviour Support Team through contributing to a positive work environment, working efficiently within your level of expertise, and participating in ongoing personal development and sharing knowledge, experience, expertise, and support with other team members.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and registration with relevant governing bodies where required or equivalent experience.

  • Working with people with disabilities and their families.

  • A sound understanding of positive behaviour support and the NDIS

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Interpersonal flexibility including working with people froma range of cultural backgrounds, across the lifespan, and other dynamic factors

  • Work independently and as part of a team

  • Multi-task, adapt to challenges, and perform under pressure.

  • Receive direction, engage in reflection, and receive feedback


Mandatory Requirements

  • Current Unrestricted Australian driver’s license

  • Current WWC Clearance

  • Current Police Clearance

  • A capacity to meet the physical requirements of the job, including driving and remaining in a seated position to perform tasks
